Here's what to expect at MomCo South — and the guidelines that keep our tables a warm, welcoming, and safe place for every mom.
Our meetups are on Fridays at Evergreen Church in Peachtree City. You're welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before the meeting to drop your child off in KidsCo, grab some breakfast, and get settled at your table. Our meetups begin promptly at 9:30 am and last about two hours. Each meetup includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations, or activities. Each table has a Mentor Mom — someone who walks a few steps ahead and brings perspective on mothering, womanhood, and relationships. Mentor Moms help facilitate discussion and are there to encourage and support you. Across our meetups, sometimes we get a little crafty, sometimes a little crazy, but we always have fun!
We have additional social events throughout the year, such as Friendsgiving, local outings, gatherings hosted by Mentor Moms, and summer playdates. Your table may also plan additional playdates and gatherings. We encourage you to participate in these events and invest in the relationships you're building at MomCo!
Each semester we have at least one service project. Some may be focused on moms within our meetup, like our annual Mom Market, while others reach out to the broader community. These projects are a wonderful way of giving back to others and growing in community as we serve together!
A great MomCo experience begins with a great discussion! We want to help make this the best experience possible for every woman in your group, so we ask that everyone follow these guidelines.
MomCo is a relational group, so come to your table with a heart to share and a desire to encourage one another.
Including their opinions, contributions, child-raising techniques, beliefs, and unique qualities.
We want everyone to feel that this is a safe place to open up. It's okay to cry, laugh, and express emotions.
Recognize when someone else would like to speak, and try not to monopolize the conversation.
About husbands, in-laws, acquaintances, etc.
We encourage you to get together outside our regular meetups. Feel free to invite your table group to grab coffee or meet up with the kids at the local park. Everyone has a busy schedule, so don't be hurt if someone can't attend — just ask again! Don't be afraid to keep it simple.
